TERNSTEDT MANUFACTURING DIVISION ARTIFICIAL HORIZON, around
1945...Same type as used in B-29, and B-17 Type AN 5736-1
with data plate showing it was built for the US Government
by General Motors Corp. 4" Face with horizon indication...'cage'
knob at 5:00. Seems to be in good condition. A nice piece
of WWII History. Ready for any spare Bombers you have
laying around needind a Gyro Horizon Indicator. |

in1945. Have been told it was for the notorious Bamboo
Bomber. ID data plates on back of instrument. Has receipt
shoeing a complete overhaul 9-23-52, will obviously need
a new overhaul this unit is to be used. Gyro is in great
shape with original dash board housing. 3 ¾”
face. Pilots would recalibrate every 10min while flying
under instruments. |

This is my opinion the neatest Gyro ever made! It is packed
with character. This Gyro Flight Indicator was also made
in the 40’s for many WWII aircraft. A Light is in
the 12’o’clock position as well as a adjustable
Horizon indicator (which is in the shape of an airplane).
3 ¾ " Face with rubber 'cage' knob at 5:00.
A.C. U.S. Army Serial No. A.C.-40-13502 ID data plates
on back of instrument. |

This yet another WWII era Gyro. It looks to never been
used since it was purchased from Standard Products, INC.
after being overhauled. Plugs are still intact with an
undamaged screen. Horizon indicator knob in the 6’o’clock
position, 3 ¾” face. Instrument is in Great
condition! ID data plates on back of instrument. Serial
No. 177219 |

adapter is still intact along with the ID plates on back
